About Steve Sbraccia
Steve’s been a reporter for newspapers, radio and television for more time than he cares to admit. Let’s just say the first president he can remember was Dwight Eisenhower.
Steve spent the bulk of his professional career in the Northeast. He moved to the Triangle in June of 2005, where he proclaims himself a Northerner by birth–but a proud Southerner by choice.

I’m so glad I was directed to your blog Steve. You taught me everything I know, and some things I’d like to forget in this business! You are simply put, the greatest street reporter in our craft. We miss you in Boston, on the streets, on our air and in our home!

I knew I recognized you… as a former Bostonian, you threw me without the mustache, but now I realize you are in fact the same trusted reporter I knew from N.E. I’m new to Raleigh, and it’s good to see another familiar face!
Hi Steve. I am a cousin, daughter of Amelia Rose Sbraccia Testori. My mom’s dad was Louis Sbraccia from Boston, MA, who tragically died at the very young age of 36. After his death, my grandmother, mom, and her sister Olga moved to Guilford, CT when my mom was just 4 years old. My mom passed away (at age 93) on July 11, 2009. I remember her telling me about you and how much you look like her dad, Louis Sbraccia. I have a beautiful picture of him and you do resemble him SO much. You may contact me at the above e-mail address. Keep up your excellent work and God bless.

I knew Steve many years ago – he was a great reporter then, and I’m sure he is now.
