Trash Or Treasure…

It’s been almost half a century since JFK was assassinated—and for those of us who remember it (I was in 3rd grade at the time)—it was an event that shook the very foundation of our world….

Over the years—- the question of whether the assassination was a conspiracy has taken on a life of its own…

Up till now—the best record of the assassination available to the general public has been the color footage of the infamous Zapruder film taken just at the moment of the shooting..

* WARNING: THIS CLIP IS GRAPHIC *

The film not withstanding, there have been allegations of missing evidence, doctored autopsy reports, and incomplete files in the national archives.

All of it and more have combined to fuel the conspiracy fires..

Now—we’ve literally got a mountain of new evidence— evidence that was put away in a Dallas vault shortly after Kennedy’s murder.

You can read here how the material was discovered a year ago—and has been cataloged and classified since then.

Among the documents—what is alleged to be a transcript of a conversation between Oswald—and Jack Ruby—the man who would later kill Oswald.

If the transcript is real, it provides the first real indications that more than one person was involved…

Here’s a portion of it from a meeting that purportedly took place at Ruby’s Carousel Club on October 4, 1963:

Lee: “There is a way to get rid of him (Attorney General Robert Kennedy) without killing him.”Ruby: “How’s that?”Lee: “I can shoot his brother.”Ruby: “You mean the president?”Lee: “Yes, the president.”Ruby: “But that wouldn’t be patriotic.”At one point, Lee says that to kill Kennedy all he needs “is my rifle and a tall building.”A bit later Ruby tells Oswald: “You’re asking too many questions; remember, they know who you are already; but you don’t know them. They’ll be watching you …”

The Dallas County District Attorney says he doesn’t know if the transcript is trash—or treasure and will let researchers decide.

It would be nice if this new evidence could help us resolve one way or the other what really happened in Dallas that terrible November day—but given the way it’s unfolded for the last 45 years—it’s more than likely we will never know the truth..
