Political Stew…
The political pot is boiling now—so let’s see what kind of stew the candidates are cooking up…
Hmm…Today, it’s largely Democratic…

Now that we’re heading into the next round of primaries—the so-called Super Tuesday contests—it’ll be interesting to see if Hillary and Obama continue to tear into each other with the same vitriol they used in the hotly contended South Carolina primary.
THE PINOCCHIO EFFECT….
For Hillary—and her surrogate, Bill— South Carolina exposed a lot of the seamy underside of their tactics….
Bill Clinton has been hit on from many quarters about his lack of truth telling during the South Carolina contest…
A few examples:
Obama accused Bill and Hillary of out and out lying about him.
You can read here how John Kerry called on Bill to stop “abusing the truth” about Obama.
Or you can look at this piece by The Nation’s William Greider. Writing in that very liberal journal—he decries the “smarmy and duplicitous” actions of Bill and Hillary Clinton’s attacks on Obama and flatly states they “play dirty when threatened.”
You can also watch syndicated Liberal talk show host Ed Schultz in this clip taking about how Bill Clinton’s “lying ” was hurting his wife’s campaign.
Exit polls indicate Obama got 81 percent of the black vote, while Hillary only picked up 17 percent of that vote..It’s impossible at this writing to say how much of an effect Bill Clinton’s Pinocchio tactics hurt his wife in South Carolina… Perhaps, the next round of contests and polling will answer that question.
THEY JUST WON’T LET IT REZCO….
During the debate, Hillary took a swipe at Obama saying she was “fighting Republicans while he was still practicing law and working for slumlords like Tony Rezco”—a Chicago based developer facing federal corruption charges.
Then this photo popped up on the internet showing the Clinton’s posing with none other than Tony Rezco.
Hillary said she’d taken thousands of similar photos and never knew the guy…
You can read here about Tony Rezco’s association with democratic campaigns—and how the Clinton’s have been photographed with several people over the years who’ve ended up accused of various infractions.
No matter how little or much Hillary knew Tony Rezco—perhaps she ought to be guided by the words of my grandmother who use to say, “If you’re gonna dig a grave for someone, you’d better dig two—because you’ll end up needing one too.”
A DELEGATE MATTER….
Going into the Florida and Super Tuesday Primaries, here’s where the top candidates stand with regard to delegates.
DEMOCRATS:
2,025 delegates needed
REPUBLICANS:
1,191 delegates needed
