Good Day, Bad Day….
Everyone has a bad day now and again—and it’s especially tough if your bad day happens in a job where everyone can see you…
For example, in my business—when I have a bad day—It’s live, unfixable and happens in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers….
When that happens, I like to console myself by saying– “Hey, the broadcast signal is already on its way to Mars—let the aliens deal with it…”
Sometimes a bad day in public can become a good day…
Witness Tom Brady and the Patriots this weekend past… As their game with the Giants progressed—they were well on their way to having a bad day—because it looked like they’d lose and not snag the perfect season record..
But, things turned around—and the kids with the flying Elvis’s on their uniforms ended up having a good day….
…And then–there’s the rest of the world…
Most of the employed population works in private—where—once upon a time—if someone was having a bad day—no one except a few co-workers would know about it…
Then, every corporation started putting in security cameras… And where there are cameras—there are tapes… And where there’s tape—there are copies…
So now—everyone’s bad day becomes public.
And as the clip below shows—the folks in this compilation had a REALLY bad day…
…And for the folks in that clip—there is no live signal on it’s way to Mars once it’s broadcast. There’s only You Tube—and a score of other video repositories on the Internet.
Personally—I’d rather have the aliens laughing at me than the folks on Earth.
